with lights twinkling away
from boats and skyscrapers
The lazer show just finishing
as we lifted our glasses of wine

Viewing the island
from our hotel room
high above electric avenue
and the streets of Kowloon
Taking the lift scuttling down
to the streets below
deeper to the chattering crowds
of the underground
Doors close we are on our way
deep under the water
of the Star ferry bay
to the island of light
To the place where earlier that day
a pianist left melodies
echoing the winding stairs
to the entrance of Isola
